How to make it

  • Bottom Layer: combine first 6 ingredients in a large saucepan. Heat and stir until mixture resembles custard. remove from heat.
  • Add graham crumbs, coconut and walnuts. Stir. Pack firmly in ungreased 9 x 9 pan. chill.
  • Second Layer: beat all 4 ingredients together in mediium bowl until smooth. Spread over first layer. Chill.
  • Icing: melt chocolate and margarine in medium saucepan on low, stirring often. spread over second layer. Chill. bring to room temperature before cutting to avoid cracking hard top layer. a hot dry knife helps.
  • cuts into 36 squares
