Ingredients
  • Bottom Layer:
  • 3/4 cup hard margarine
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 6 tbsp cocoa
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • Second Layer:
  • 1/4 cup hard margarine
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 2 tbsp vanilla pudding powder
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • Icing:
  • 4 semisweet chocolate baking squares
  • 1 tbsp hard margarine

Directions
  1. Bottom Layer: combine first 6 ingredients in a large saucepan. Heat and stir until mixture resembles custard. remove from heat.
  2. Add graham crumbs, coconut and walnuts. Stir. Pack firmly in ungreased 9 x 9 pan. chill.
  3. Second Layer: beat all 4 ingredients together in mediium bowl until smooth. Spread over first layer. Chill.
  4. Icing: melt chocolate and margarine in medium saucepan on low, stirring often. spread over second layer. Chill. bring to room temperature before cutting to avoid cracking hard top layer. a hot dry knife helps.
  5. cuts into 36 squares
