This recipe came from Taste of Home magazine. I've been making these for years. I just know you'll love them.

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup vegetable shortening
  • 1 1/2 cup peanut butter-creamy or crunchy
  • 1 cup honey
  • 2 eggs-lighly beaten
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions
  1. In a large mixing bowl,mix shortening,peanut butter,and honey.
  2. Add eggs and vanilla and mix well.
  3. Stir in sugar.
  4. Sift together flour,baking powder,soda,and salt.
  5. Add to peanut butter mixture and mix well.
  6. If dough is too sticky,chill for at least 1 hour.
  7. Roll dough into 1-1 1/2 inch balls.
  8. Dip in sugar and place onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  9. Flatten with fork making a crisscross pattern.
  10. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
