I love apples and pork. My daughter thinks fruit should never touch meat, weird kid. So I had to make two type of pork chops for yule dinner.

Ingredients
  • 4 large or about 8 small apples, washed, cored, and sliced
  • 1/2 cup broen sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • -
  • 6 thin sliced pork chops
  • onion powder
  • garlic powder
  • pepper
  • sea salt

Directions
  1. Wash, core and slice up the apples into a small bowl.
  2. Add brown sugar asnd cinnamon.
  3. toss gently until the apples and brown sugar are mixed.
  4. Place half of the apple mixture into a cake pan, just enought to cover the bottom.
  5. Placethe pork chops on top of the apples, season to taste with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder.
  6. Put the rest of the apples on top of the pork chops.
  7. Bake in a 350 F oven for about 30 minutes, or until the pork is done and apples are tender.

Looks totally delicious! Onions and apples go well together, too. I think I'll try this in a couple of weeks (we have a spiral sliced ham to get through first. . .) with both onions, apples, and maybe some sage or Bell's Turkey seasoning. My mouth is watering already!
