Fresh Apple Cookies

- cup all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1 tsp baking soda shopping list
- 1/2 cup butter softened shopping list
- 1 1/3 cup brown sugar packed shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon shopping list
- 1 tsp ground cloves shopping list
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg fresh if possible shopping list
- 1 egg beaten shopping list
- 1/4 cup apple juice or milk shopping list
- 1 cup Chopped apple shopping list
- 1 cup Chopped nuts shopping list
- 1 cup Chopped raisins shopping list
- glaze shopping list
- 1 cup Confectioner's sugar shopping list
- 1 tbl butter softened shopping list
- 1/4 tsp vanilla shopping list
- 1/4 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 1/2 tbl milk or light cream shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Sift the flour and baking soda together in a medium mixing bowl. In a large bowl; cream butter, brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and the egg. Add half the flour to the butter mixture and blend well. Mix half the juice or milk. Add the apples, nuts, and raisins to the remaining flour.
- Add the apple mixture to the butter mixture. Stir in the remaining juice or milk. Drop the dough by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets. Bake for 8 to 9 minutes, or until cookies are firm. While cookies are warm , spread with vanilla glaze.
- Glaze: Blend all the ingredients together in a mixing bowl and mix until smooth.
