Barbecue Spicy Black Beans

I got this recipe its a copy cat of the Pollo loco Black beans I added a few alterations Its so good with baked chicken and some spanish rice on the side
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 tablespoon bacon grease shopping list
- 1 onion, diced shopping list
- 1 yellow bell pepper diced shopping list
- 1 piece of galic minced shopping list
- 2 pounds black beans, can use canned( I boil mine ) shopping list
- 1 1/2 cup barbecue sauce shopping list
- 1 teaspoon liquid smoke shopping list
- 2 tablespoons canned chipotle chiles in adobo sauce, or more to taste (optional) shopping list
How to make it
- I put the pot of beans to boil
- When the beans are half way cooked I cook the bacon in a seprate pan
- after the bacon is done cut in pieces and put to the side
- With the same bacon oil take 1 1/2 tablespoons and saute the bellpepper,onions,and garlic
- when done add to the beans then add the liquid smoke bbq sauce,sugar,and chipotle chilies the the beans finish cooking then when the beans are done you can add more chili or bbq depending on your taste you can also refry them they are so good!!
