How to make it

  • Generously coat bottom of pot with olive oil and saute onions and garlic.
  • Add water, lentils, and bay leaves. Bring to a boil then reduce heat to simmer for 40 minutes.
  • Add vinegar, instant broth, salt and pepper to taste.
  • Continue to simmer until lentils are very tender, about 20 minutes.
