SPICED ALMONDS This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Wagner Estate in Wichita Falls, Texas in 1990.

Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup salted butter
  • 1/3 cup green pepper sauce
  • 1 tablespoon pepper sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 4 cups natural whole almonds

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 325.
  2. Melt butter in small saucepan over low heat.
  3. Stir in pepper sauces, Worcestershire, garlic powder, salt and mustard.
  4. Toss mixture with almonds in large roasting pan and mix well.
  5. Bake 20 minutes stirring occasionally.
  6. Cool completely.
