Cornish Pasties

- 4 OZ. OR MORE IF DESIRED beef SKIRT. shopping list
- 1 onion shopping list
- 3 OZ. dripPING shopping list
- 1/2 TEASPOON OF baking powder shopping list
- 1/4 LB potatoes. shopping list
- 8 OZS. flour shopping list
- salt AND pepper shopping list
- mixed herbs - IF DESIRED AND/OR/ garlic shopping list
How to make it
- PEEL AND CHOP THE POTATOES AND THE ONION SMALL.
- FLAKE THE MEAT (M9NCED MEAT CAN BE USED IF DESIRED)
- MAKE THE FLOUR, FAT AND SALT INTO PASTRY.
- ROLL PASTRY OUT INTO SMALL ROUNDS
- PART COOK THE POTATOES AND ONIONS TILL SOFT THEN MIX WITH MEAT WHEN COOL.
- PUT AN AMOUNT OF THIS MIXTURE IN THE CENTRE OF EACH PASTRY CIRCLE. DAMPEN THE EDGES OF THE PASTRY AND SHAPE TO SEAL THE FILLING.
- GLAZE WITH BEATEN EGG OR MILK
- BAKE ON A BAKING SHEET, IN THE OVEN FOR 30 - 40 MINUTES.
- DON1T FORGET THE GRAVEY WHEN SERVING.

Fabulous - love this or something similar my Aunt Mabel from England makes. She says odd job men take them to work and eat it for their lunch - fascinating isn't it. Love the caps BTW.
