How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 500 degrees
  • Line a baking sheet with foil. Lightly caot with cooking spray
  • Beat together egg milk vanilla and cinnamon in a shallow bowl.
  • Using a sharp knife, cut a pocket horizontally from the top crust nearly to the bottom crust in each slice of bread. Fill bread pockets with banana and pecans
  • Dip stuffed bread slices carefully into egg mixture, coating both sides
  • Place slices on the prepared bakikng sheet
  • Bake in 500 degree oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown, turning once.
  • If desired sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve with warmed syrup
  • If made for desert consider drizzling with chocolate, caramel or a fruit syrup such as strawberry. Recipe is easy to double. Enjoy!
