Bayou Country Cajun Beef And Okra Soup Recipe
This soup is great with rice or corn bread..crackers.....oh ,heck ! it is great without anything else...

Ingredients
  • 6-8 qt skillett
  • Mag-na-lite soup pot
  • 3 TBSP of Olive Oil
  • I bag of frozen Okra Or 1 lb of fresh...
  • cook as directed
  • 1 16 oz. can of diced tomatoes,
  • 2 small onion chopped /chop one set aside for Okra then , other one for Meat
  • seasoning of your choice like salt ,pepper..
  • Beef Short Ribs/ or Soup meat of your Choice
  • About 4 qts Water

Directions
  1. 6-8 qt. skillett
  2. Saute the Okra then add you onions
  3. Saute them with your okra
  4. drain tomatoes keeping the juice......and set aside
  5. add just the tomatoes to the okra,onions.
  6. Stirring constantly
  7. let cook 40 minutes
  8. In a Mag-na-lite Soup pot
  9. 3 Tbsp of Olive oil
  10. Beef Short Ribs / or Soup meat of your choice
  11. Brown meat
  12. add onion when onion is saute' to a clear look.
  13. add okra mixtue to pot of meat
  14. stir around the mixture and meat together
  15. adding all of your seasonings.....stir
  16. add water little bits at a time
  17. build your soup from bottom to top...this way your soup isn't to watery..
  18. let this cook for about 2 1/2 hours on med to low heat...
