Festive Chocolate Cheesecake

- 1/4 cup butter shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour shopping list
- 1/2 cup toasted walnuts coarsely ground shopping list
- 2 cups ricotta shopping list
- 12 ounces cream cheese softened shopping list
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 4 large eggs shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- 12 ounces semi sweet chocolate chips melted shopping list
- 1 cup sour cream shopping list
- 1/4 cup sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oven to 350.
- With electric beaters beat butter and vanilla until creamy.
- Add sugar, flour and walnuts then blend until well mixed.
- Press into bottom of spring form pan and bake 20 minutes then remove to rack and cool 5 minutes.
- Beat cheeses with sugar until smooth then add eggs and vanilla and beat until thoroughly incorporated.
- With rubber spatula stir in chocolate and blend thoroughly.
- Spoon into pan and bake 55 minutes.
- Cool 5 minutes on rack.
- Stir together sour cream and sugar until sugar dissolves and mixture is smooth.
- Spread over hot cake and bake 5 additional minutes.
- Cool on rack then refrigerate and chill thoroughly.
