How to make it

  • Heat oven to 350
  • mix coconut,cornstarch,sugar,egg whites and vanillia in a heat proof bowl.
  • Set bowl over a pot of boiling water (or use a double boiler)
  • Heat stirring until mixture thickens (4) min then set aside.
  • Spoon out mixture (about a tablespoon) and palce on ungreased cooking sheet.
  • Bake for 10-15 min. (untill golden brown ( but still soft )
  • Melt chocolete then dip macaroon bottoms letting chocolete drip off
  • Place on wax paper until they are set.
