Easy Pumkin Gnochi

- 2 cups pumpkin, cooked and mashed shopping list
- (I use canned) shopping list
- 2 cups flour shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder shopping list
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten shopping list
- salt and nutmeg to taste shopping list
- (I like to add 2tsp fresh sage leaves, snipped) shopping list
How to make it
- Mix together all ingredients, and stir well.
- Let stand 1 hour.
- Stir again and put on a well floured board. Divide dough into 3 parts.
- Roll each part into a long snake about the diameter of a dime.
- Cut into 1/2 inch peices
- Drop a few peices into rapidly boiling salted water.
- As soon as the dumplings rise, skim into a bowl of very cold water. Drain well.
- Toss in butter and Serve immediatly
- or
- re-heat in a casserole with plenty of butter.
- This is also wonderful with browned butter.
