  • CREAM THE FAT AND SUGAR TOGETHER
  • BEAT IN THE EGG
  • ADD THE PEEL AND CURRANTS, SPICE AND SALT, THEN BEAT IN THE FLOUR
  • MIX TO A STILL DOUGH, USING A LITTLE MILK IF REQUIRED.
  • ROLL OUT ON TO A FLOURED BOARD
  • PRICK THE SURFACE ALL OVER WITH A FORK
  • CUT OUT WITH A BISCUIT CUTTER
  • BAKE ON A PREVIOUSLY GREASED BAKING TRAY
  • GAS MARK 6 FOR 20 MINUTES UNTIL LIGHTLY COLOURED.
  • LEAVE TO COOL SLIGHTLY BEFORE LIFTING FROM THE TRAY

    Sorry Zhiannabu Wholewheat Biscuits in U.K. are called Disgestive Biscuits. They are a fairly plain cookie made with Oats. I hope this helps and that you can find something which is suitable. If you have problems, get back to me my friend

    These are so tasty, I ground extra fine sugar into sugar dust as suggested to me. I could not find Baker's or Castor Sugar anywhere locally. This recipe is a keeper and the cookies were all gone in a day!! Thank-you!
