Ingredients

3 OZ. CRUSHED WHOLEWHEAT BISCUITS

3 OZ CASTER SUGAR

1 EGG YOLK

1/2 OZ CHOPPED PEEL

1 OZ. CURRANTS

1/4 TEASPOON MIXED SPICE 6 OZ. FLOUR

PINCH OF SALT

Directions

CREAM THE FAT AND SUGAR TOGETHER

BEAT IN THE EGG

ADD THE PEEL AND CURRANTS, SPICE AND SALT, THEN BEAT IN THE FLOUR

MIX TO A STILL DOUGH, USING A LITTLE MILK IF REQUIRED.

ROLL OUT ON TO A FLOURED BOARD

PRICK THE SURFACE ALL OVER WITH A FORK

CUT OUT WITH A BISCUIT CUTTER

BAKE ON A PREVIOUSLY GREASED BAKING TRAY

GAS MARK 6 FOR 20 MINUTES UNTIL LIGHTLY COLOURED.

LEAVE TO COOL SLIGHTLY BEFORE LIFTING FROM THE TRAY

Sorry Zhiannabu Wholewheat Biscuits in U.K. are called Disgestive Biscuits. They are a fairly plain cookie made with Oats. I hope this helps and that you can find something which is suitable. If you have problems, get back to me my friend
