Salzburger Nockerln

- 1 ounce semisweet chocolate shopping list
- 4 eggs, separated shopping list
- 1/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 4 tsp flour shopping list
- 1 tbsp butter shopping list
How to make it
- Using vegetable peeler, shave chocolate. Set aside.
- In a large bowl of electric mixer, beat egg whites until they hold soft peaks. Gradually add sugar, continuing to beat until mixture is very stiff. Set aside.
- Place yolks in a small bowl and beat at high speed until very light in color and slightly thickened. Gradually add flour, beating until mixture is thick and well blended. fold yolk mixture into beaten whites, blending lightly but thoroughly.
- Melt butter in shallow 2 quart oval or rectangular pan directly over medium heat. Heap egg mixture atop butter in pan, making 6 equal mounds. Bake in 350 oven until top is pale brown (10 to 12 minutes). Sprinkle with chocolate.
