Ingredients

4 slices bacon

4 lean ground turkey patties, about 1 lb.

1 tbsp dry chicken rub, such as McCormick's Grill mates

1/2 cup bottled chunky blue-cheese salad dressing

4 seeded sandwich rolls

1 tomato, sliced

4 pieces green-leaf lettuce

1 avocado, pitted, peeled, thinly sliced

Directions

In 12-inch nonstick skillet, over medium-high heat, cook bacon until crisp, 5-6 minutes. Drain on paper towels. Reserve 1 tbsp fat. Cool pan; wipe clean with paper towel.

Sprinkle both sides of patties with rub. In skillet, heat reserved bacon fat over medium-high heat. Add turkey patties, in batches if necessary; cook, turning once, until no longer pink in centers, 5 minutes per side. Spread dressing over cut sides of rolls. Fill with turkey patties, tomato slices, lettuce, bacon and avocado slices.
