Oven Braised Beef

- 1 3 or more pound boneless chuck roast shopping list
- 1 28 oz. can chopped tomatoes, undrained shopping list
- 3 tsp garlic, minced shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
- Put roast in an ovenproof 4-5 quart heavy pot or casserole dish with a lid.
- Sprinkle top of roast with garlic.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Pour tomatoes over roast.
- Cook in center of oven, covered, until very tender, 3-4 hours.
