Canned Hot Green Tomatoes Or Peppers Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1 quart White Vinegar
  • 1 pint Water

Directions
  1. Sterilize pint canning jars.
  2. Into each jar put 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon sugar, 1 clove garlic and 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes.
  3. Pack with green tomatoes or peppers filling within 1/2 inch from top of jars.
  4. Mix 1 quart of white vinegar to 1 pint water in a pot and bring to a boil.
  5. Pour mixture over tomatoes or peppers to fill jar.
  6. Seal and shake jar to mix ingredients on bottom.
  7. Process 15 minutes in a boiling water bath.
  8. Let marinate a couple of months.
