My husband's (Indian) family were coming for dinner and I wanted to make a snack with some Indian spice in it. This popcorn is so good, I make it every time we have friends over, too. I think it's from a Martha Stewart magazine... but I don't really... More

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 tsp brown sugar
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garam masala (you can get this spice mix in most grocery stores. Look in the spice aisle - it will be in a bag)
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup popcorn kernels

Directions
  1. Combine sugar, salt, garam masala, and cayenne in a large serving bowl.
  2. Heat oil in a large pot over medium-high heat until hot. Add popcorn and cover.
  3. Cook, shaking pot frequently, until corn has finished popping.
  4. Add to bowl and toss.
