Creamed Spinach

- 1 pkg frozen spinach shopping list
- 1 pkg bacon shopping list
- 2 cloves Chopped garlic shopping list
- 1 can Chopped Seeded tomatoes shopping list
- 1/2 cup condensed milk shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Put the frozen spinach block into a pan of hot tap water. Let it sit while you do the other things.
- Cut the bacon strips into 1-inch pieces. In a medium fry pan, fry the bacon until nearly done the way you like it. Add the garlic and fry until the bacon is nicely done. Don't drain the bacon grease.
- Remove the partially frozen block of spinach from the water. Cut it into 2-inch squares and add to frypan.
- Add the can of tomatoes and the liquid. Stir well. Increase heat to boiling, then reduce heat to simmer. Let simmer for 5 minutes. Stir occasionally
- Add cream. Simmer, stirring often, until thickened the way you like it.
- Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- I like this with rice. Fine side for a pot roast.
