Ruthies Chicken Sweet and sour

This is one of my favorites! I found the recipe when I was about 12, and have been making it ever since. Even my boyfriend (who hates sweet & sour foods) loved it! So I call it Ruthie's chicken instead. It goes really well with white or brown rice.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch shopping list
- 1/3 cup vinegar (I use red wine vinegar) shopping list
- 1/4 cup oil shopping list
- 1/4 cup ketchup shopping list
- 1/2 tsp garlic salt shopping list
- 4 chicken breast/ boneless skinless shopping list
How to make it
- In small saucepan combine sugar & cornstarch-blend well
- Add in Vinegar, Oil, Ketchup & Garlic salt - mix well
- Cook Over medium heat until mixture thickens and boils-stir often
- Heat Oven to 350
- Bake Chicken for 30 minutes
- Glaze chicken with mixture
- And bake an additional 15-25 minutes.
