How to make it

  • Filling:
  • Cut core out of apples
  • Put in pan and add water
  • Boil for about 20 minutes or until water is gone
  • Add sugar
  • Mash apples
  • Add cinnamon and stir
  • Let cool
  • Crust
  • Mix flour, crisco and milk; let chill
  • Roll out thin
  • Cut in saucer shapes
  • Add filling and fold over
  • Press sides together with fork
  • Punch holes in top
  • Fry on medium until brown
  • Let cool and serve
