Sweetheart Sundaes

- 1 1/2 c. light brown sugar shopping list
- 1/2 c. milk shopping list
- 1/3 c. corn syrup shopping list
- 4 tsp. margarine or butter shopping list
- 1/3 c. peanut butter shopping list
- ----------- shopping list
- vanilla ice cream shopping list
- 3/4 c. chopped dry roasted salted peanuts shopping list
- 6 chocolate hearts shopping list
How to make it
- In a sauce pan, combine brown sugar, milk, corn syrup and margarine (or butter).
- Cook and stir over medium heat until sugar is dissolved and mixture is smooth.
- Remove from the heat; stir in peanut butter until smooth.
- Cover and refrigerate until serving.
- Divide half of the peanut butter mixture between six parfait glasses; top with a scoop of ice cream.
- Repeat layers.
- Sprinkle with peanuts.
- Garnish with a chocolate heart.

- Chocolate hearts:
- To start, trace your design several times on a piece of paper.
- Place paper on cookie sheet and cover with waxed paper.
- Heat 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips in microwave until melted.
- Put melted chocolate into a heavy duty zip-loc bag and cut a very small hole in one corner of the bag.
- Squeeze chocolate onto traced designs.
- Refrigerate until chocolate is firm; about 15 minutes.
