I've made this dessert for my sweetheart on Valentine's Day several times----it is really good! :)

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 c. light brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/3 c. corn syrup
  • 4 tsp. margarine or butter
  • 1/3 c. peanut butter
  • -----------
  • vanilla ice cream
  • 3/4 c. chopped dry roasted salted peanuts
  • 6 chocolate hearts

Directions
  1. In a sauce pan, combine brown sugar, milk, corn syrup and margarine (or butter).
  2. Cook and stir over medium heat until sugar is dissolved and mixture is smooth.
  3. Remove from the heat; stir in peanut butter until smooth.
  4. Cover and refrigerate until serving.
  5. Divide half of the peanut butter mixture between six parfait glasses; top with a scoop of ice cream.
  6. Repeat layers.
  7. Sprinkle with peanuts.
  8. Garnish with a chocolate heart.

  10. Chocolate hearts:
  11. To start, trace your design several times on a piece of paper.
  12. Place paper on cookie sheet and cover with waxed paper.
  13. Heat 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips in microwave until melted.
  14. Put melted chocolate into a heavy duty zip-loc bag and cut a very small hole in one corner of the bag.
  15. Squeeze chocolate onto traced designs.
  16. Refrigerate until chocolate is firm; about 15 minutes.
  17. ENJOY ! :)
