From papacooks 17 years agoIngredients
- Good, Fast and Simple fish shopping list
- 1.5 - 2# Tilapia, Walleye, Perch, or any firm white fleshed fish filets of about ½ inch thickness shopping list
- 2-3 Tablespoons melted unsalted butter shopping list
- ¼ cup Grated or shredded parmesan cheese your choice shopping list
- ¼ Teaspoon garlic powder shopping list
- ¼ Teaspoon celery salt shopping list
- ¼ Teaspoon fresh ground black pepper (cayenne pepper could be substituted if you like things really spicy) shopping list
- 2-3 green onions fine chopped (green stalks included) for garnish shopping list
How to make it
- Rinse and pat dry fish, place on broiler pan/cookie sheet sprayed with non stick spray.
- Brush with melted butter.
- Mix Garlic Powder, Celery salt and Pepper together, then season fish to your liking.
- Place about 4 inches under your Broiler at highest oven setting. Broil for approximately 3-3.5 minutes, remove from broiler, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, and return to broiler for additional 3-5 minutes, or until Parmesan begins to brown.
- Remove from Broiler, and lightly brush with remaining butter, then top with the green onions.
- Serve immediately. ( Your broiler needs to be at it’s highest setting or you will dry out the fish)
- This is wonderfully fast and delicious. Richness of the butter, sweetness of the fish, saltiness of the Parmesan, a little heat from the pepper, and the freshness of the green onions makes for some nice flavors. Serve with cottage cheese and a steamed vegetable for a low-carbohydrate satisfying meal.
- This is my favorite way to have fish, I’ve made it for family dinner and parties, and people rave about it.
- ENJOY!!
