How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 x 13 pan.
  • Prepare cake mix according to directions. Stir pecans, chips and vanilla into batter. Pour into prepared pan. Drizzle 1/2 cup caramel sauce over batter; swirl caramel into batter with a knife.
  • Bake 32 minutes or until cake begins to pull away from sides of pan and toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. cool slightly on wire rack.
  • Garnish with additional pecans and caramel sauce.

  • To be different (and because I like peanut butter) I substitute peanut butter chips.
