Ingredients
  • 9 cups Chex, any variety
  • 1 cup or 1 pkg. (6 oz.) semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup margarine or butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Directions
  1. Measure cereal ino large bowl; set aside
  2. in 1 quart microwaveable bowl, microwave chocolate chips, peanut butter and margarine; uncovered on High for 1 minute; stir
  3. Microwave for 30 seconds longer or until mixture can be stirred smooth
  4. Stir in vanilla
  5. Pour chocolate mixture over chex in bowl, stirring until evenly coated
  6. Pour into large plastic food storage bag
  7. Add powdered sugar
  8. Seal bag and shake until well coated
  9. Spread on waxed paper to cool
  10. Store in airtight container in refrigerator
  11. ***Range Top Directions:
  12. Measure Chex into large bowl; set aside
  13. Heat chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter in 1 quart saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently until melted
  14. Remove from heat
  15. Stir in vanilla
  16. Continue as directed above
