White Christmas Pie

- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 3 egg whites shopping list
- 1/4 cup flour shopping list
- 1/4 tsp cream of tartar shopping list
- 1 env. Knox unflavored gelatin shopping list
- 3/4 T clear vanilla shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/4 tsp almond extract shopping list
- 1 1/2 cup milk shopping list
- 1/2 cup whipped whipping cream shopping list
- 1/4 cup cold water shopping list
- 1 c coconut shopping list
- 2 baked pie shells shopping list
- red cherries shopping list
How to make it
- Soften gelatin in water and set aside.
- In a saucepan mix milk, 1/2 cup sugar, flour and salt and cook over low heat stirring constantly.
- Boil for one minute.
- Stir in softened gelatin until throughly dissolved and set aside to cool.
- When partially set, beat it with mixer on low until smooth.
- Blend in vanilla and almond extract.
- Fold coconut into pudding mixture.
- Beat egg whites, 1/2 cup sugar and cream of tartar until thick to make a meringue.
- Fold the whipped whipping cream into the meringue.
- Combine the pudding and meringue and gently put into baked pie shells.
- Serve with red cherries
