baked applerasin and brown sugar dumplins

- got this from bon appetit test kitchen: shopping list
- 4 8-ounce yellow delicious apples-peeled shopping list
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar shopping list
- 1 1/4 tsp. cinnamon shopping list
- 1/3 cup raisins shopping list
- 1 cup heavy whipped cream shopping list
- 4 purchased refrigerated uncooked large flaky biscuits(from a 16.3-ounce tube) at room temp. shopping list
- 1 large egg-beaten to blend shopping list
How to make it
- preheat oven to 400*F.
- using a mellon baller,core apples, leaving bottom intact place in a glass pie dish, spacing apart. microwave at 50% power till tender,about 10 minutes
- refrigerate for 5 minutes to cool
- meanwhile mix sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl
- transfer 3 Tbs. cinnamon sugar to a small sauce pan add raisins and 3 Tbs. cream , stir over low heat until sugar is disolved
- combine 3 Tbs. of cinnamon suger and remaining cream, in a medium bowl and whisk to peaks,cover and refrigerate
- roll out each biscuit on a floured surface to a thin 8" circle, brush lightly with egg
- place an apple in the center of each round
- fill apples with rasin mixture,over filling slightly,.pull up sides of dough to top of apples(3,6,9 and 12 o'clock positions)
- twist dough tops making an apple stem shape
- using fingers press seams tightly to seal
- place on a baking sheet,brush lightly with egg, sprinkle with remaining cinnamon sugar and bake till golden brown about 18 minutes
- serve with cinnamon whipped cream
