Beer Batter Veggies Recipe
Not big on beer battered fish or veggies. Try this recipe.

Ingredients
  • 1 12 oz. can beer
  • 2 cups white flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • Salt and Pepper
  • 2 cups canola oil
  • Veggies:
  • 1 carrot, cut into thick strips
  • 1 onion, sliced into rings
  • 1 green pepper, sliced in rings
  • Fish: This batter can be used on fish also.
  • Mild white fish or perch

Directions
  1. Mix 1 1/2 cups flour with the beer and let stand for at least 3 hours at room temperature.
  2. Mix eggs and milk, then in a separate bowl mix together 1/2 cup flour and salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Heat oil to 375 in a deep skillet or frying pot.
  4. Dip each vegetable in the egg and milk mixture, fully covering each piece.
  5. Dip the vegetable into the flour and seasoning mixture, then dip the vegetable in the beer and flour mixture.
  6. Carefully place the vegetables into the oil, fry until golden brown.
  7. If frying fish follow same breading procedure.

1 12 cups of beer?? That's alot of beer, Mom. You could get drunk just eating these veggies. Ha ha. Ain't I funny? I think you meant 1 12 oz can of beer??


Much better. Now people can eat these and not be afraid to drive. :)
