Beer Batter Veggies

- 1 12 oz. can beer shopping list
- 2 cups white flour shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1 cup whole milk shopping list
- salt and pepper shopping list
- 2 cups canola oil shopping list
- Veggies: shopping list
- 1 carrot, cut into thick strips shopping list
- 1 onion, sliced into rings shopping list
- 1 green pepper, sliced in rings shopping list
- Fish: This batter can be used on fish also. shopping list
- Mild white fish or perch shopping list
How to make it
- Mix 1 1/2 cups flour with the beer and let stand for at least 3 hours at room temperature.
- Mix eggs and milk, then in a separate bowl mix together 1/2 cup flour and salt and pepper to taste.
- Heat oil to 375 in a deep skillet or frying pot.
- Dip each vegetable in the egg and milk mixture, fully covering each piece.
- Dip the vegetable into the flour and seasoning mixture, then dip the vegetable in the beer and flour mixture.
- Carefully place the vegetables into the oil, fry until golden brown.
- If frying fish follow same breading procedure.
