Vegetarian Tastes Like Chicken Patties Recipe

These are a definate foil for real chicken patties. Wonderful with a spagetti sauce and cheese for Chicken Parm. or great in a sandwich with all the fixins. They will not be able to tell these are not "real" chicken. Promise!

Ingredients
  • 1 (12.5 ounce) can vegetarian fried chicken (e.g., FriChik)
  • 1 celery
  • 1/2 small onion
  • 1/4 large green bell pepper
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup dry bread stuffing mix or stove top stuffing mix
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Directions
  1. Process the 'chicken' in a food processor and then transfer it to a medium mixing bowl.
  2. Run the celery, onion and green pepper through the processor.
  3. Add the vegetables to the mixing bowl and stir in the eggs, stuffing, salt and pepper; mix well.
  4. Form into patties.
  5. In a medium frying pan heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  6. Fry patties on each side until browned.
