This is a quick and easy italian chicken dish to be served with pasta. I didn't like it when I was a kid, but love it now. You can easily prepare this in the slow cooker, but you must brown the chicken first.

Ingredients
  • 8 chicken breasts
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic chopped
  • 2 large cans tomatoes
  • 2 tsp parsley
  • 2 tsp rosemary
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • salt and peper
  • 1/2 cup sautern
  • Optional (any combination of the following):
  • Black olives
  • Mushrooms
  • Carrots
  • Green or red peppers

Directions
  1. Stove Top:
  2. Brown chicken in olive oil.
  3. Add other ingredients except wine.
  4. Cover and simmer 45 minutes.
  5. Add wine and simmer 25 minutes.
  6. Serve over pasta.
  7. Slow Cook Method:
  8. Brown Chicken in olive oil.
  9. Add other ingredients except wine to crockpot.
  10. Cover and cook on low for approximately 6 hours.
  11. Combine the content on the crockpot with wine in a pot and simmer for the last 25 minutes.
