An old fashion cookie of the south thats good with coffee... its a soft simple cookie,,,This is a Sharon's recipe from the Urology Clinic where I used to work....Ive also used this recipe....

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 sticks parkay margarine
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon soda dissolved in 2 tablespoons warm water
  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 eggs

Directions
  1. Cream sugar and margarine together
  2. Add eggs and mix well
  3. Add soda and water mixture
  4. Add dry ingredients alittle at a time and mix throughly
  5. Add vanilla
  6. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet 7 to 10 minutes at 375 degrees
  7. Add 1/4 cup more flour if you want to roll cookies out and cut them with a cookie cutter after cooling down in frig for about an hour
