  • 1 rattlesnake, skinned.

Directions
  1. Cut snake into 2 inch pieces.
  2. Place pieces on a skewer and roast over glowing coals, keeping the skewer constantly turning.
  3. When the meat quits sizzling, it is done (about 7 minutes).

I haven't had snake before, but I've had alligator at pow-wows. It tastes like chewy chicken, especially when breaded. Don't know if I could kill a snake, I've got too much respect for them. Maybe that's just the city boy in me talking. Surely you'd do more than roast it in your own kitchen. If it tastes like fish, maybe some dill and lemon?
