Cheesy Tuna Casserole Recipe
This dish puts a new spin on the old-time favorite with the added crunch of the crutons, and zest of cheese. Great for entertaining!

Ingredients
  • 1 cup macaroni (elbow is recommended)
  • 2 (6 oz) cans of tuna, drained
  • 1 (10.75 oz) can of cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 1/2 cups croutons, seasoned
  • 1 pound of Cheddar cheese, cut into cubes

Directions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Boil a large pot of water (lightly salted), Then add your pasta, cook for 8-10 minutes ("al dente") and drain. While the pasta is boiling, add tuna, mushroom soup, and 1/2 of the cheese into a 9x13 baking dish and mix well. Place pasta into your baking dish and combine with the tuna mixture. Then, add your remaining cheese to the top of the casserole, and add the croutons. Cover your dish and bake for 15 minutes, or until you notice the cheese has melted.

Sounds great! I never thought to make it in the crockpot. When I cook TNC in the oven I use almost the same recipe one of the things I change is I use roasted garlic cream of mushroom soup, give it a try I think you'll like it!


This recipe does sound good but I think it was put in the crock pot group by accident.


This is an excellent TNC. Using croutons for the cruncy topping gives you lots of options for flavor variations. Mmmmmmm!!
