Ingredients

How to make it

  • If the animal is dusty, perhaps all it needs is a little wiping. Take a slightly damp cloth and rub the animal all over until the dust is removed, then brush with an old hairbrush (the bristle kind).
  • When you're ready to give the animal a bath, place in a pillowcase and wash with the rest of your laundry. Use a delicate cycle and a gentle detergent. It's a good idea to use a bit of fabric softener to keep the toys soft and cuddly. When removed from washer, give it a good brushing and allow to dry.
  • If the animal is very old or very delicate, put in a paper bag and shake baking soda into the bag. Shake the bag until the animal is coated with baking soda. Leave for about 30 minutes then brush off with a towel.
  • ALLERGY TIP - about allergies and kids. If there is a stuffed animal that your child sleeps with, put it in the freezer for 15 minutes once a week to kill the dust mites.

I recently read an article about allergies and kids. It suggested if there is a stuffed animal that your child sleeps with, put it in the freezer for 15 minutes once a week to kill the dust mites.
