Salty Fried Mackerel with Rice

- Canned Mackerel in olive oil (cheap is not the way to go with this recipe) shopping list
- pepper shopping list
- salt shopping list
- rice shopping list
- Decorative fish cakes (from Asian supermarket) shopping list
How to make it
- 1) Start the rice however you prefer to cook it, I use the microwave, 10-15 mins with breaks to stir every 5 mins.
- 2) Pour the olive oil from the tin into a hot fry pan and then follow with the Mackerel and then add small amount of salt and a generous amount of pepper. Spice to Taste
- 3) Once mackerel is crispy add Fish cakes and toss around the Pan for a bit.
- 4) When rice has cooked pack it tightly into a teacup to mold into a nice shape and display neatly on a decorative plate.
