TUNISIAN SALAD SLATTA TUNSEEYA Recipe
A MIXED SALAD WITH A DIFFERENCE

Ingredients
  • 100 CANNED TUNA
  • 250G TOMATOES
  • 150G SWEET PEPPERS
  • 100G GREEN PIMENTOES
  • 1 MEDIUM-SIZED CUCMBER
  • 1 LARGE ONION
  • 2 HARD BOILED EGGS
  • 100 OLIVES
  • 6 TABLESPOONS OLIVE OIL
  • 2 TABLESPOONS VINEGAR
  • 1 TABLESPOON CAPERS
  • A PINCH OF DRIED MINT
  • 1 LEMON
  • SALT TO TASTE

Directions
  1. WASH SWEET PEPPERS AND PIMENTO THOROUGHLY
  2. CUT OFF THE STALKS AND REMOVE THE SEEDS
  3. WASH TOMATOES AND REMOVE SEEDS
  4. PEEL CUCUMBER AND ONION
  5. CUT ALL THE ABOVE INGREDIENTS INTO SMALL PIECES
  6. RUB DRIED MINT BETWEEN THE HANDS TO REDUCE IT TO A POWDER.
  7. SPRINKLE ONTO THE CHOPPED INGREDIENTS.
  8. ADD SALT AND VINEGAR
  9. MIX EVERYTHING WELL TOGETHER
  10. POUR ON OLIVE OIL
  11. GARNISH WITH EGG SLICES, SMALL PIECES OF TUNA FISH
  12. OLIVES, CAPERS AND SLICES OF LEMON
  13. SERVE CHILLED.
