Cactus Salad The following recipe was transcribed ver batim from The Woman's Club Cook Book of Tried & True Recipes San Antonio, Texas 1857
Ingredients
- as many pears as you would like shopping list
- 1 onion shopping list
- 1 tomato shopping list
- French dressing shopping list
How to make it
- Gather the tender leaves of the prickly pear. Scrape off the thorns. Cut into dice and boil in three waters or until the last water comes out clear and not slimy. Cut up one onion, one tomato and add a French dressing. Mix well and serve cold.
