This Cornbread is a little sweeter than most.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 3 T. melted margarine or butter
  • 1 egg

Directions
  1. Mix all ingredients well.
  2. Put in 8x8 pan and Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
  3. That's all!!!

This is more like a cake than the cornbread that I'm used to. I love it! I eat it plain or warm with butter. No need to put honey or jam on it! AND it's a really simple recipe. Gotta love simple.
