Better Than Arbys Beef And Cheddar Recipe

Better Than Arbys Beef And Cheddar Recipe
This recipe came from a request from my son to make Arby’s sandwiches for dinner one night, he had faith that mom could make anything. After trying them he announced “these are better than Arby’s”. The name stuck.

Directions
  1. Thaw pastry sheets at room temperature for 40 min or until they're easy to handle.
  2. Cheese Sauce
  3. Prepare Cheese sauce by combining cheddar cheese, Cheez Whiz, and milk in a small saucepan over med/low heat.

  10. Spray 2 baking sheets with cooking spray.
  11. Stir eggs and water with a fork in a small bowl.
  12. Unfold 1 pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.
  13. Roll the sheet into a 14” square. Cut into 4 squares.
  14. Repeat with remaining pastry sheet.
  15. Mound several pieces of beef in center of each pastry square.

  17. Cut bacon in half, place 2 pieces on top of onions.
  18. Spoon cheese sauce over top.
  19. Brush edges of pastry with egg.
  20. Fold one side over top, fold ends over and bring other side over and seal. Place seam down on baking sheets. Brush with the egg mixture and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  21. Bake for 20 min or until golden. Serve with Arby’s sauce and horsey sauce.
  22. Arby's Sauce
  23. Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan and cook over med heat, stirring constantly, until the sauce begins to boil, 5 to 10 min.
  24. Remove the sauce from the heat. Cover and allow to cool.
  25. Pour into a covered container for storage in your refrigerator.
  26. Keeps for a month or two. Makes 1 cup
  27. Arby's Horsey Sauce
  28. Mix all well. Keep refrigerated, tightly covered to use in 2 weeks.

--Kn0x--

I get cravings for Arby's (Bacon Cheddar) all the time -- probably, in part, because this city doesn't have an Arby's....for reasons unbeknownst to me :( (I have to drive 30 mins further north to a SMALLER city just to get one of these...) Well, not any more -- I'm trying your's!
Thanks for posting this, Cheryilyn :)

Sounds amazing. Thanks.
