How to make it

  • Add sugar, margarine, yeast and water to the hot milk, stirring. Let stand 10 minutes.
  • Sift the flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda.
  • Beat in the liquid mixture, and knead until smooth and supple, about 10 minutes.
  • Place in a greased bowl, cover and let rise in a warm spot 1 hour.
  • Turn out onto floured board, knead about 30 seconds.
  • Form into to rolls, and place on a lightly greased baking sheet.
  • Let rise, covered, 2 hours.
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes.
