How to make it

  • Place the deer leg in a roasting pan. Slice onion over it and add 1" of water to pan. Sprinkle with seasonings to taste. Put it in 350F oven with lid on. Will take about 3 hours to cook. Done when meat doesn't bleed anymore when a fork is inserted into the meatest section.

    I have a dozen deer eating in my yard as I type. They've gone through all possible shrubs and bushes and I'm thinking the least they can do is offer one of their very own in exchange for the damage. I'll use this recipe when we do the exchange.
