How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a large bowl, cream butter and confectioners' sugar until light and fluffy. Mix flour and cinnamon. Add to creamed mixture, 1 cup at a time. Batter should not be dry. Press some of the batter, in a thin layer, on the bottom and 1 inch up the sides of an 8 inch springform pan.
  • Pour the pie filling over batter.
  • Sprinkle the remaining batter in large crumbs over the entire cake.
  • Bake 1 hour or until crumbs are brown.
  • Cool on rack; remove sides of pan.
  • Serve with whipped cream or sprinkle with confectioners' sugar.
