Super good! This may not sound good but it is. It tastes like an apple brown betty

Ingredients
  • Filling
  • 1 large turnip
  • 1 T. butter
  • 2 apples
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar
  • pinch of cinnamon
  • Crust
  • 1/3 c. flour
  • 1/3 c. brown sugar
  • 2 T. butter

Directions
  1. Peel, dice and cook, drain and mash the turnip with the butter.
  2. Peel and slice the apples.
  3. Toss with the brown sugar and cinnamon. arrange in a greased small casserole dish ( I would use a loaf pan), turnips and apples, in alternating layers, beginning and ending with the turnips.
  4. Combine the crust ingredients into a crumbly mixture and pat on top of the casserole.
  5. Bake at 350ยบ for 1 hour.
  6. Super good!
