Ingredients

How to make it

  • Eggs must be completely cooled and shells removed.
  • Pop them into the left over pickled onion vinegar.
  • Screw lid firmly on jar.
  • Place in fridge and keep there for at least 3 weeks. The longer you keep the eggs the better the pickled vinegar will soak thru to the yolk. Its to your own taste!
  • There are quite a few choices of pickled onions, spicy, hot & spicy, mild, mild & spicy, sweet & mild, etc..... anyone of these can be used for pickling your eggs. Hope you enjoy them?

I am so glad you have enjoyed this recipe chacha, - as I've been quite ill and unable to spend a lot of time in my kitchen I try to find and use good wholesome recipes. We don't eat takeaways a lot and prefer home-cooking. We try to eat as healthly as possible and this is a good snack if you like them. Unfortunately, we cannot buy pickled eggs in the shops here so we have to make them ourselves. But as they are quick to do that does not really bother us. Thk u for your feedback, I so appreciate it! Blessings Chazah

I have prepared this egg-xact ;) recipe and the eggs turn out perfectly pickled. You'd think they were store bought. Thanks for reminding me because I haven't made pickled eggs in a very long time.
