Grandiose Strawberry and Cream Pie

GRANDIOSE STRAWBERRY AND CREAM PIE This is a recipe I obtained from an Estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Clowers Estate in Arlington, Texas in 1989.
Ingredients
- 8 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups confectioners' sugar shopping list
- 2 eggs beaten shopping list
- 1 graham cracker crust shopping list
- 1 cup whipped cream shopping list
- 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups sweetened sliced strawberries drained shopping list
- Fresh whole strawberries for garnish shopping list
- mint leaves for garnish shopping list
How to make it
- With an electric mixer cream together butter and powdered sugar then add eggs.
- Beat until fluffy then spread over crust and chill.
- Meanwhile mix whipped cream with 1/4 cup sugar.
- Toss strawberries with 1/4 cup sugar.
- Spread half the whipped cream over pie then add strawberries.
- Top with remaining whipped cream then chill at least 8 hours.
- Garnish with whole berries and mint leaves.
