How to make it

  • the original recipe calls for the chocolate being melted.
  • i normally put the chocolate in the fridge
  • then throw it into my Braun kitchen machine together with the flour (the knives are in the machine).
  • this is much easier.
  • then i add all the other ingredients,
  • put the dough into a greased spring form,
  • bake at about 170°C for one hour.
  • remove cake to rack, let cool
  • slowly melt 150 gr chocolate,
  • whip heavy cream, let drip melted chocolate into cream,
  • keep beating, adding vanilla sugar to tast
  • decorate cake with chocolate cream.
  • you may want to decorate with shavings of white chocolate
  • or, for kids, with smarties
