Pork And Sauerkraut Recipe

The best part of this pork dish is that you throw it in the crockpot in the morning and forget it. Come dinner time make some mashed potatoes and you're set.... Ingredients

2 - 32oz cans sauerkraut

2 red apples, cut into chunks

1 bottle lager-style beer (I use Yeungling, but you can't get it everywhere)

3lb pork roast

optional - 1 or 2 loops of kielbasa, cut into chunks

Directions

Add one can of sauerkraut to slow cooker

Place pork roast on top

Place apple chunks in around the roast

Add kielbasa if desired

Pour over half the beer

Add second can of sauerkraut, spreading it out to cover

Pour remainder of beer.

Cover and cook in slow cooker for 8 hours
