How to make it

  • Preheat Oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  • Combine flour, sugar, brown sugar, cocoa, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl; set aside.
  • Beat egg whites in a small bowl on high speed until small peaks forms
  • Melt butter in a small saucepan, pour in a small bowl. Add chocolate syrup and egg whites. Stir butter mixture into flour mixture to form stiff dough. Stir in cereal.
  • Turn dough out into baking sheet; shape into 12X2 inch log. Press almonds onto log. Bake 20-25 minutes or until firm.
  • Reduce oven temperature to 300 degrees.
  • Cool completely on wire rack.
  • When cool; using a seratted knife, cut loaf into 1/2 inch thick diagonal slices.
  • Place slices, cut side down on cookie sheet. Bake biscotti 10 minutes. Turn over and bake an additional 10 minutes.
  • Cool completely on wire rack, enjoy!
