Double Chocolate Biscotti

- 3/4 cup All purpose flour shopping list
- 3 Tablespoons Organic sugar shopping list
- 3 Tablespoons packed brown sugar shopping list
- 2 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa shopping list
- 1 teaspoons baking powder shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 2 egg whites, softly beaten shopping list
- 2 Tablespoons butter shopping list
- 1 Tablespoon chocolate syrup shopping list
- 1/2 cup puffed wheat cereal shopping list
- 4 teaspoons sliced almonds shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat Oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- Combine flour, sugar, brown sugar, cocoa, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl; set aside.
- Beat egg whites in a small bowl on high speed until small peaks forms
- Melt butter in a small saucepan, pour in a small bowl. Add chocolate syrup and egg whites. Stir butter mixture into flour mixture to form stiff dough. Stir in cereal.
- Turn dough out into baking sheet; shape into 12X2 inch log. Press almonds onto log. Bake 20-25 minutes or until firm.
- Reduce oven temperature to 300 degrees.
- Cool completely on wire rack.
- When cool; using a seratted knife, cut loaf into 1/2 inch thick diagonal slices.
- Place slices, cut side down on cookie sheet. Bake biscotti 10 minutes. Turn over and bake an additional 10 minutes.
- Cool completely on wire rack, enjoy!
