From jakartainflames 16 years agoIngredients
- 1/2 cup dried hibiscus blossoms (about 2 ounces) shopping list
- 3 cups water shopping list
- 2/3 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 1/4 cups tequila shopping list
- 1/3 - 1/2 cup fresh lime juice shopping list
- 1/3 cup triple sec or other orange flavored liqueur shopping list
- 8 lime wedges shopping list
How to make it
- Combine water and sugar in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, add hibiscus, and simmer on very low heat for 10 minutes. Strain the liquid into a pitcher pressing to remove all the liquid and discard blossoms (or use them for another recipe). Cover and chill the hibiscus syrup. When the syrup is cooled, combine with the tequila, lime juice, and Triple Sec. Serve over ice and garnish with lime wedges, or try it blended!

I already make Iced Hibiscus Tea it is delicious, refreshing and a beautiful deep red colour but this will certainly perk it up a bit when entertaining. Thanks a lot for sharing.
